SITUATION OF THE SCHOOL
The school is situated in the Modesto Omiste province, Potosí, Bolivia. 450 pupils – boys and girls- from age 4 to 16 attend the school. They are divided into 2 groups, one group attending school in the morning and the other group, in the afternoon.
There, they get breakfast and lunch. For most of them, it is the only way they can have food. The children are immigrants from the north of Potosí (a very poor, arid area). In Argentina, many of these children drop out of school for the harvest or to take care of youngest siblings or of elderly relatives.
